Significant growth and development present unique challenges to the Town of Erin. A comprehensive and sustainable transportation plan is essential for the Town to continue to plan for efficient development within the municipality. The transportation master plan (TMP) will provide direction for the planning, coordination and implementation of a multi-jurisdictional municipal road network, including active transportation facilities, for the short term (1 to 5 years) and the long term (6 to 30 years). The TMP will recommend appropriate road design cross-sections for Town road corridors on a rationalized segment basis and also guide the development and implementation of policies with a basis in context-sensitive design, in consideration of the ongoing need to examine existing and future transportation needs within the Town. |
